Welcome

My beginnings happened in Tokyo, Japan, and this far away (from America) destination portended a life filled with travel and various international residences.  These locations span Brazil to Panama to Italy to India, etc.  I feel fortunate in this more global destiny as I sense it broadens the mind and opens further the heart...

Additionally, I resided in an ashram (monastery) for around eleven years, in both India and the U.S.  This auspiciousness has since graced my life.

I received my B.A. from UC Berkeley and a masters degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

My love of writing has always been there (Well, since I could write! :) and I particularly have enjoyed writing poetry. I came upon my first poem a few years back that I estimate I wrote around age ten.  

I have written a book of poems, and also have written and illustrated a children’s book.

Additionally, I have taught yoga since 2001 and have co-led a yoga teacher training for many years.

Florida has been my home for a time now, and I have two beautiful sons.
